James Whitford
James is an Advocate and Associate in the Litigation Department. He was called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2024 as a Member of Gray’s Inn. Following successful completion of his Guernsey Advocate qualifications, James was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court in 2025.
Before joining AFR Advocates, James gained over twenty years’ experience as a digital product owner with a global retailer. In his role at AFR, James advises on wide range of litigation matters. James’s qualifications include a law degree from the University of Durham and the Diplome d'Universite certificat d'etudes juridiques et normandes from the University of Caen.
